Description of project:
The objective of the mid term review was to ascertain whether the project is meeting its agreed objectives and outputs. The review should recommend strategies to assist the project in effectively meeting its objectives by the scheduled end date.

Services provided:

• Reviewed relevant project documentation, and conducted other research as deemed necessary by AusAID
• Consulted with recipient government authorities, provincial and district leaders and other agencies in Vietnam to ascertain their views of the implementation of the project
• Assessed project activities and outputs of the project by visiting project and district level project sites and having discussions with project staff within the framework of the outputs and activities shown in the project documentation
• Presented preliminary findings and recommendations in the form of an aide memoire to members of the PCC, including relevant officials from Vietnam and AusAID prior to departure from Vietnam
• Prepared draft report for, and conducted a debriefing session for AusAID Canberra within one week of the teams return to Australia
• Provided a draft mid term review report to AusAID within 21 days of the AusAID debrief
• Finalised the mid term review report within 14 days of receiving comments on the report from AusAID and provided the final document to AusAID

To do the above members of the team attended a briefing in AusAID Canberra, met with AMC representatives in Melbourne, prepared an issues paper which formed the basis of discussions in Vietnam, and went on a field mission to Vietnam.
