Description of project:
The Australia Asia Award Scholarships is a bilateral program agreed between 10 Asian countries and Australia. These fully funded scholarships are available to recipients for research or post graduate studies. The program is specifically designed to promote high level links between Australia and those countries. Scholarship recipients are carefully selected for their future leadership capacity. Approximately 50 students are administered by NSG through this program. NSG IP is wholly responsible for the management of the Scholarships. NSG IP is responsible for contributing to the performance indicators through performance monitoring and progress, reporting, evaluation, recommendations and feedback.

The outcomes of the program include:

• Disseminates information in response to general inquiries
• Advises on selection outcomes
• Oversees and manages all logistic requirements for travel, visa, admissions
• Manages a trust fund and pays all costs associated with the recipients agreement
• Advises and counsels recipients
• Manages a monitoring and reporting framework
• Reviews awardees performance with academic supervisors
• Prepares press releases and other publicity statements
• Maintains all records associated with the activity; financial, reporting, personal NSG IP is also responsible for managing recipients requests to vary their budgets, study, training or research programs.
