Description of project:
Assist in strengthening the Institute of Health Sciences (IHS). The IHS is responsible for postgraduate medical training for both paramedical and professional students.

The outcomes of the program include:

• Curriculum development & evaluation.
• Pedagogical, administrative and management improvements.
• Improved teaching materials and equipment.
• Improved library resources (including the provision of basic texts)
• Established linkages with appropriate Australian/overseas tertiary institutions
• Secondary elements include improved capacities in continuing and distance education, epidemiology, research and in-service training programs

Services provided:
Revision of initial project design and development of logframe and work plan. Overall project direction, management and administration. Short term technical advisers & teachers. Management of overseas fellowships. Provide advice on work relating to the modernization of laboratories, library and student management systems. Responsible for all reporting to AusAID and associated groups.
