Prefeasibility mission to identify suitable projects for investment, Nov 1995. Two appraisal missions, Feb 1996 and October 1997, to assess proposed projects and determine social and environmental benefits of projects. Institutional assessment made of the power authority to consider the ability of the authority to repay concessional loans. Assessment of training components and further development where necessary. Background briefing paper prepared for AusAID on rural power projects. Produced comprehensive appraisal reports for all projects.
